The Staffordshire and Worcestershire Canal links the Trent and Mersey Canal in the north to the River Severn in the south. About half way along its length, the canal links with the Shropshire Union Canal at Autherley Junction and the Old Main Line Birmingham Canal at nearby AldersleyJunction. Further south it also links with the Stourbridge Canal at Stourton Junction.
